Sidewalk of Jl. Inspeksi Kali Sunter Misused as Illegal Parking

A 200-meter-long sidewalk on Jl. Inspeksi Kali Sunter, Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village, Koja, North Jakarta is misused as illegal parking by irresponsible people.

No wonder, people difficulty passing on sidewalk because many vehicles seen parked illegally. "We want the officer to control this illegal parking," expressed Yusman (41), a resident of RW 04, Rawa Badan Selatan Urban Village, Monday (1/23).

North Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. Head, Benhard Hutajulu admitted has repeatedly conducted controlling. Due to unavailable land, the parking attendant had to use the pedestrian.

"We often control tens of motorcycles and dozens of cars due to illegal parking there," he expressed.

He stressed, it is supposed to used as a pedestrian track, thus must be free from street vendor and illegal parking. Benhard will discuss this matter along with Regional Working Unit (SKPD) to find the best solution.

"In future, the pedestrian must be free from illegal parking," he finished.
